I believe he was asked to leave by the other members. In his Wikipedia article, it states 'When Gackt began seeking further creative control over the group's compositions, as opposed to just writing the lyrics, he claims he was removed from the group.' In his biography, 'Jihaku', he says that he was asked to leave after writing the music to 'Le Ciel'. Well, no one really knows, Gackt claims he was asked to leave, But the rest of the group claim, that when he was supposed to show up for a practice, that he just simply, never showed up. and then they soon heard he started a Solo carreer, so no one really knows why. Personaly, i think the rest of the group was right, if you pay attention to Gackt in their interviews, hes always "joking" about how he wondered how he would do solo. i think he just thought he would do better so he left, im glad he did, once he was gone, Klaha started, and i much rather prefer his voice over Gackt's.
