Making a tea out of valerian root (which is what Valium is derived from), or angelica root, or marijuana stems... gives a mild sense of sedation, but nothing overwhelming. If you take other substances (i.e. drink, smoke pot, take pills...) the effects will hardly be noticeable.

Actually, it can get you very very high if you cook the tea properly (I have my medical card and the high was definetly noticable). Here is what I would suggest: Brew a whole valerian plant (roots, leaves, stem) with some motherwort, lavender, and cleveland sage (cleveland sage alone can get you high) for 15 minutes bringing it just to a light boil and then drink up. The effects will be in between being drunk and a marijuana high. Enjoy!!!
