  • No, but a larger motor (assuming there is room for one within the shell) is much less likely to burn out because it can withstand more heat. Larger motors are also smoother running. A locomotive's weight is the key factor in pulling power. If your engine isn't pulling very much, and there is vacant space inside the shell, you could try filling it with lead. The most effective place to add weight is above the driving wheels.
