What is "Money" ? Does it really represents the worth of the value marked on it?

Money, as it is, has no intrinsic value like gold. If paper bills and coins burned, they would no longer have value. On the other hand, gold would still be gold. And money as we know it only has value because all of us agree that it has value.

Money is a form of societal control. It is also what causes many to do horrible things to one another. Money is also a powerful tool in helping others. Money is, ultimately, energy. It can be used in many ways, for good and bad. I, personally, have no love for money. I would like to find a way to live without it completely, and I am taking small steps toward that goal. It would take an entire community of barterers to eradicate the need.
