  • PC. You could upgrade it later with out having to deal with Macintosh proprietary BS. More programs work on it. More games work on it. And you have more then one freaking mouse button. You can also do more with a PC. You can put LINUX on it and can use the machine any way that you want. With a Mac you can only do what they think you should be able to do.
  • A Mac to just to not do everything people would expect of me.
  • a mac. a) they're alot more expensive than your at-home knock together pc and they're b) reliable. and c) i like 'em.
  • If it's free, I would choose a Mac, since it can run OS X, Windows, and Linux (etc.) all on the same machine. A PC could only run Windows and Linux.
  • apple as long as it was using POWER architecture, and a Nvidia graphics card
  • I'd take a PC - I can upgrade it easily, and let's face it: I'll be running Windows anyways so I can actually use the thing. Also, if I have a Mac people will associate me with the plethora of pretentious, hyper-trendy, no-nothing Mac owners. Before you people start flaming me, I am of course kidding - it's just that it's so easy to get a rise out of Mac users that I couldn't resist.
  • neather, i would ask if i could have a sun system, due to i work in business sector and i have a pc and a mac
  • PC. Last time I looked at Macs, (and I am a bit out of date here) they had a great processor but it was harder to fiddle with the gizzards of a Mac. My experiences with Mac suggest it is an arrogant computer built by an arrogant company. (Think along the lines of, "We don't trust you with this computer and you are an idiotic criminal." That is the impression I got from using a Mac.) In this respect, PCs aren't good, but they are better than Mac.
  • I would choose the Mac. I already have a MacBook as part of an experiment to see if I could do all the normal tasks I used my Windows-based laptop for. The experiment was a success, so I wouldn't mind having a Mac desktop. I do realize that Macs aren't as upgradeable and flexible as PCs, but their design, reliability and (supposed) longevity make up for it (IMHO). Now, I could in fact run Linux and Windows on a Mac, so as long as my hardware met my needs, I'd have no qualms. By the way, I don't have anything against PCs or Linux or Windows. I just like (new) Macs better.
  • It wouldn't matter a whole lot because I'd just put Gentoo Linux on it and Macs and PCs can do that. But I'd want it to be upgradable so I'd choose PC.
  • PC, simply because I don't want to have to ask 'is it compatible' with every thing I get for it. I've used both and don't see any big difference in either.
  • A pc of course due to compatibility issues, expandability, software availability and support.
