  • The symptoms you describe sound like a fuel delivery problem to me. You could have either a faulty fuel pump, or the relay that provides power to the fuel pump has become dodgy. Here's a quick test that may help: Carry a wooden or plastic mallet in the car. The next time it stalls, have someone turn the key to crank the engine while you bang on the fuel tank with the mallet. If the car starts right up, then you probably have a bad fuel pump. With respect to the relay, it's relatively cheap ($35 or so). You might try simply replacing it to see if it solves the problem. Good luck.
  • Could be the oxygen sensor
  • It could possibly be a crank angle sensor module that is playing up. This part is probably the most important of all sensors in the car. It sensors the position of the pistons and tells the ECU (electronic control module) when to fire the spark plugs. The sensor is apparently very sensitive and can be causing your problems. My car used to start dropping it's rpm mostly when idle at stop signs/lights then completely stall. Restarting took a few minutes and on a few occassions didnt start for a few days.
  • i had the same problem it was the distibtor.check for spark when it dies.
