There's no 'best' bit torrent client, no matter what anyone says. They all have their ups and downs. My favourite is Azureus. Its a tiny bit heavy on process usage, but it has a truckload of features and plenty of plugins. The average torrent user will want to use uTorrent. Its very similar in interface to Azureus, much more lightweight and very easy to use. It doesn't use much process power nor space. Personally I believe uTorrent is the best. I'm just too lazy to make the switch.

the most famous clients are Azureus , BitTorrent, µTorrent, BitComet, KTorrent and Deluge clients , i prefere Azureus however and a Azureus speed accelerator beside it . Azureus is more flexible about torrent related problems and setting it to a good configuration is easier . but as Sado sayed µTorrent is lighter and more general.
