I dont think it will harm the rabbit but you should get rabbit food. The wild rabbits around my area always eat the bird seed that has fallen onto the ground, so they shouldnt be harmed.

I would have thought that the bird seed would be to small and indigestible, i wouldn't just to be safe.

It's best for a rabbit to be fed dark greens like romaine lettuce, spinach, collard greens, etc. Mix that with store bought pebble food is what the vet told us when we got our rabbit. Carrots are good for an occasional treat. And, trust me, NEVER corn -- nothing like bunny diarrhea to brighten up your day.

No, rabbits shouldn't be fed ANY seeds or grains. They eat hay and a few leafy veggies. But they don't eat breakfast cereals or corn or nuts or seeds or grains. They don't digest them well. Only good quality hay and possibly some pellets and leafy veggies.
