It is, its an old musical, and very well done. Unfortunately it was a bit slow. But can't go wrong with Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton!

Yes, Sweeney Todd, the movie MUSICAL with Johnny Depp, is indeed a musical. About 80-90% of all of it is sung, and if not that, then there's sort of a sing-talk feeling. And yes, this is a musical, but it really is very, very dark - and this particular version is, to put it milidly, quite bloody. But the movie is very, very good and I recomen it very, very highly.
