  • San Patricio, more of a skirmish, but the Texians won and got the big head and went to Bexar to teach Gen Cos a lesson. Goliad, actually a few miles from Goliad at Coleto Creek, we all know how that turned out. Anuahac(if you want to call it a battle)Mr. W.B.Travis, the one from the Alamo, was involved in taking over the customs house there. Refugio, in the runaway scrape, after the Alamo the many settelers left every thing and ran for what is now Corpus Christi to escape the Mexican Army. Texians from Goliad went there to take them to get them out. The event was a dismal failure for the Mexicans, Gen. Urria recorded in his journal that there was only one volly fired by the Mexican conscripts, indians, because "...they did not understand their Officers and their Officers did not speak their language." In December 1835 there was a battle in Bexar(San Antonio now). Colonists took controll of the town from Gen. Cos. & when Santa Anna came to get it back they went into the Alamo - That's how they came to be there in the first place. We all know how that turned out too. Note: Please know that in all of these events both Angelos and Tejanos, a Mexican, native to Texas, were side by side against The Centeral government. {and please pardon that these are not in chronological order.}
