  • It seems like it, doesn't it? I was watching that show "Intervention" on A&E about addiction, and it seems like all of the people with Meth addictions all say how quickly they became addicts.
  • I would say that cocaine and methamphetamine are equally addictive. It is hard to gauge just how addictive a substance is- because all of the mechanisms of addictions are not fully understood. Some of the reasons that methamphetamine may seem more addictive: It's effects are longer-lasting. You can stay up for days on methamphetamine more easily than with coke. Meth is cheaper than coke. You can go alot longer spending less money. This means more people can afford to become addicts. Meth is more accessible. It can be made by anyone with the right ingredients and a semi-private place. Almost all cocaine has to be imported. Finally, another factor you have to consider if you are going to be objective... the media hype. Meth is the new crack as far as the media is concerned. Coke is old news. The media can't get enough of expositions like "Faces of Meth" and so it gets more coverage.
  • Um, Cocaine is a type of CNS also, but if you are talking about the serious ones like meth, yes it is much more addictive. Cocaine is not really so addictive as it is fun and useful.
  • I've heard that meth is more addictive and harder to kick than heroin.
