  • I would most definitely say that it was not such a novel.
  • That's not how I thought of it, but Victorians were into the Gothic art style. That doesn't mean they had the type of "goths" you see now days.
  • It's confusing as hell. But if you can keep the names straight, it's a good novel. It's dark, more than Gothic, I think.
  • It sucks. Not that I have read it or anything.
  • I didn't like it at all and I don't think that it was a Gothic novel.
  • it IS considered a gothic novel... i don't know what other people are talking about. i think they need to look up a proper definition of "gothic" in terms of classic literature... Wuthering Heights along with Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre are gothic and romantic novels with elements of mystery, unexplained events, and the supernatural. and yes -- it is very good. (:
  • It is good, but I wouldn't say that it is a gothic novel. It can't really be categorised into one genre, even though it has gothic aspects. If you're looking for an example this might not be the best one. What about 'Frankenstein' by Mary Shelley? Or the 'Castle of Otranto'- the original gothic novel. :)
