Hi! it's you again lolz Well, its NOT definetely. My theory is that they don't understand thoroughly and just because in Visual Kei photo's they don't smile, don't do ugly faces, and don't really move THAT much, so yeah. And some of the bands rarely smile on stage either. I don't mean to offend anyone, but these misunderstandings are usually from the Western countries.

It's basically that when they think of emo they think girly boys in dark colors, red, black, purple, dark blue, ect.

im a musician and i have been in 2 j pop bands over the last 3 years and i remember seeing visual kei on japanese tv. my freinds Taka and Tsutomu debated abit and then said "Kinda like Emo music" and "its for nerds/hakibake" which was very funny.
