On my sons 454 powered chevy 1 ton pickup a K&N made a noticable improvement in acceleration. The cost was about equal to 3 quality disposable filters. The payback would be 2 or 3 years but you can clean it more frquently to keep your peak performance. If I could get one for my lease vehicle I would in a second.

Do U really mean "Oil Bath" or "Oil Sprayed Foam" type Filter??? An "Oil Bath" forces the intake Air down into a "Bowl/Bath" filled with oil that holds & separates dust & such very well, with only a little reduction of air volume. This is very "Old School"! I also runs into a problem in trucks & off road steep hills etc.. John

I noticed quite a difference on my wife's Saturn and actually improved the MPG when I wasn't taking advantage of the increased grunt. As for the cost.... well, they are a little pricey but they can pay for themselves in a couple of years easily. I can't justify one for my cars (I usually pay under $500 for 'em), but you might find it financially worthwhile.
