Pretty much everything. It's one of the skills I most use. I'm a database designer, so that's all done on the computer and most of my communication is done with emails and IM, so that's all typing too. My banking, ABing, gaming, website building all require typing too. Plus I keep my organizational stuff on the computer and PDA. I rarely pick up a pen these days it seems.

I send emails, address envelopes, impress others with how fast I type . . . especially those who never had to take typing in high school. Yeah, it was typing back 'n the day! It also makes one's fingers nimble and quick for other things.

Chatting. We try to send messages in the same rate as we speak so that our speed increases.
