  • Watch what I eat and how much so I will feel better
  • Not eat very much - the most effective weight-loss diet ever devised : P
  • starve..no actually follow an eating regime, a healthy one with portion control and exercise.
  • Eat whatever I want, but not too much, & not too much junk. I've just started working out, though. My body is strange, in that I can't lose or gain weight easily.
  • exersize no pills no soda all the fab diets dont work without exersise and high fiber intake watch your bad carb if your going to have a bad carb make sure you eat your protien and carb high on the glycemic index first and please chew your food saliva starts the digestion process white kidney beans 10g fiber 8g protien also liquid health complete and colonix www.drnautura.com
  • Eat healthy food in moderation(junk food, rarely)Exercise daily-free weights and walking
  • I don't try to stay thin, but I do try to stay fit and healthy by running and working out. In the beginning it's hard to stay dedicated, but once you've been doing it for a while... you find that it becomes a comfortable place/routine and even begin to slightly miss it whenever you become "inactive" for consecutive days. Get into a routine and eat healthy foods. I learned that eating about 5 small meals a day is better than 2/3 whole meals. You want to keep your metabolism going and eating a whole bunch of food at once will just overwhelm it. Ask your nutritionist for more accurate information please :)
  • i eat breakfast, lunch and then that's about it. I try not to eat at night but if i'm hungry i will. I used to diet ALL THE TIME. but once i stopped dieting i dropped like 15 pounds, it's crazy. Im 5'5" and under 120, not sure if that's considered thin to you. I also never drink my calories. No fruit drinks or soda with sugar. Ugh, what a waste
  • I work out....because i enjoy it, but it has its perks as well. I eat complete crap for the most part, but I do try to eat healthy occasionally. Mostly, if we're being honest, I have good genes. Thanks Mom!
  • i throw up, JOKING!
  • i am looking into the tapeworm diet but i here it's not good!!!.
  • excercise, skate,
  • I work on watching what I eat, I work on limiting my Twinkie intake, and I work my ass off in the gym...notice the emphasis on WORK....
  • Don't know, but I expect it's the same thing my dad did. My body must do something with its calories, but since I'm neither overweight, nor skinny to an unhealthy level, I haven't worried about it too much.
  • the Kate Moss diet, 3 grammes pure colombian a night keeps me svelte and paranoid, It is truly awesome.............only joking for those of you who have had a humour byepass.
  • This might sound weird, but I just listen to my body, instead of my brain. If I'm hungry, I eat as much as my body tells me to. Conversely, I am totally fine with skipping meals or replacing them with a snack if my body says "it's not that important to eat right now". It's kept me thin and unwavering in my weight for over 10 years.
  • I don't really know. Probably has a lot to do with how naturally hyper I am though.
  • when it's warm, i run in the morning and it helps that im obsessed with salads and vegetables .. in the winter, im a lazy fucker who eats chocolate chip cookies all day .. lol
  • Eat lots and lots of really yummy food, lots of carbs and cheese, plenty of vegetables, chocolate whenever I want it, and I NEVER say "no" to a craving for homemade chocolate chip cookies. I drink TONS of water, and 1% milk, not too much soda... and I play with my dogs sometimes... I bellydance for fun, but it's not terribly strenuous exercise. I eat Organic mostly... so maybe it's the fact that I'm only eating natural foods, no chemicals or fillers, that keeps me from weighing 400 lbs.
  • Exercise. But I guess there's also something about our genes. All members of my immediate family are slim, no matter how much we eat.
  • Luckily I do not put on a lot of weight but I do work out at the Gym and still take dance classes when I can.
  • I use a rebounder daily :)
  • Eat less and excersize more.
  • Nothing :)
  • Nothing ... I eat everything that I find, I don't exercise, but I stay thin :)
  • no fucking idea.. currently I'm 179cm tall and weight 61kg.. and I've got the world's most unhealthy diet..
  • I've started belly dancing again (it exercises every muscle in your body) and I'm a fidgiter which they say burns about 300 calories a day.
  • not snacking between meals is the easiest way to stay slim. although the temptation is great, its deffo worth it
  • 1) Drink AT LEAST 12 glasses of water a day 2) Exercise almost everyday 3) Eat healthy balanced meal ---> No sugar, No caffeine, No alcohol, No smoking, No pop (HERBAL TEA & WATER ONLY) 4) INCLUDE FIBER IN MY DIET 5) Eat fruits and veggies LIMIT MEAT INTAKE
  • I um.... Well I.... OKAY! YOU BUSTED ME!
  • Staying thin is not possible for me. I don't eat much and I'm still nowhere near thin (although I'm closer to thin than obese, size 10 is debateably fat).
  • Quit emulating the Hollywood elite and super models, they are borderline anorexia.
  • not a damn thing
  • I pretty much starve myself, I'm not thin yet though.
  • It takes some work, but your gene pool have a lot to do with it, Everyone has a set weight- obviously it may not be the one right now, but if ou eat healthy, enough-* this is important and exercise about 3 times a week, youll reach you set weight and your body will be happy there, Dieting in the end does notdo you justice, it a) can leas to eating disroders and b) your body will constantly want to get back to its set point, therefore, in the long run, your metabolism iwll go down to keep ur heart pumping , your systems running properly, because it will think ur in strvation mode, and when you start eating normaly again, ull probably gainit back. Also, thinness is not the most important thing. being healthy it key.
  • I would call myself more 'fit' than 'thin.' I would rather be in good shape than skinny because I have more energy, clearer thoughts, and not many people truly like to starve themselves. Some things that I do: 1. Try to walk or ride your bike to do errands. 2. Eat a super healthy breakfast (I usually do muesli and a fruit). 3. Eat lots and lots and lots of fiber, not too suddenly though... It is very filling and good for you. I consume a lot of beans and whole grains) 4. Try to eat 4 or 5 servings of fruits or vegs. 5. Drink half of your weight in oz of water. I am 115 and I usually drink 2 litres (about 64 oz). 6. Balance the exercise with muscle building ... (I think that boosts the metabolism), stretching, and cardio. 7. I try to make these my everyday habits so that my weight doesn't change much... a lot of people burn themselves out by setting unrealistic goals... Good luck! 5.
  • I avoid eating sweet, if ever I do I eat something salty after, then red tea. I also walk everyday, the long one.. and if ever I have time before the work I dance in my room and made some exercise.
  • I don't.
  • Pretty much nothing, or so it feels like at least. One day I just realised my BMI was 19 instead of 23-ish as it used to be :/
  • work 40-60 hours per week on my feet, fast paced work at job that pays the bills, spend another 40 drawing comic book and writing music on jobs that one day I hope will pay the bills, sleep 4 hours a night, eat no sweets or candy, my diet is mostly sushi, korean food and rice, smoke a pack a day, keep drinking down to 1 night per week and only manage to squeeze in time to eat 2 meals a day. That pretty much does it for me.
  • I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. I take light dinner. I eat rice. When I feel that I'm gaining weight, I cut back on my rice. I drink fruit juices a lot. Eating foods with L-carnitine will help you lose fat. But then again, my genes are in the middle side, not thin, not fat. I also have fast metabolism.
  • I found that chewing gum (not bubblegum, more like Trident or Orbit) helps keep away temptation to chew extra snacks and even burns extra calories if you chew it long enough! haha,.. anyway, that's what I do.
  • watch what I eat, excerise, get enough sleep, and try to keep the stress down.
  • Normal things...walk to the store instead of driving when it's only down the street, take the stairs instead of the escalator/elevator, sit up in the chair if that's where you spend most of your time (in an office or at home watching TV), stand up straight (posture is very important, believe it or not, in how slender you look), and most importantly, for me anyway, I "always" eat breakfast (I actually eat a lot of anything throughout the day) and stop eating after 7 pm (or a few hours before bed). I've been living by the above rules for as long as I can remember and I've been weighing 110 - 120 lbs. since High School, which is a great weight for me :). I've never been on a diet or been to a gym.
  • I work at a regional distribution plant for Lowes, and given it is about summer now, I sweat about 5 lbs off every night, and then I workout and run my usual 2 miles on saturdays!
  • eat right and stay healthy by exercise and if u want abs cardoi and lower body use exercise ball
  • im workin on it as I type, Im going to the gym 6 days a week, doing the crosstrainer for 10ks a time, which could be around 4.5 miles, and eating little amounts.
  • I eat healthy and i actually chew my food..i enjoy evey bite.
  • i just dont pig out and do nothing and that keeps me decently thin its hard for me to gain or lose weight, im pretty much stuck at this shape lol
  • I agree with who said you should listen to your body instead of your brain, I don't exactly have much to offer on the subject as I am really thin (80lb and 5'10") and don't do anything to stay that way. But you should eat when you feel you need to and stop when you're full, you don't have to finish everything. DON'T STARVE YOURSELF!!! When you stop eating, you body thinks that you are unable to find food (for example, thoasands of years ago, we had to go out and find food, which wasn't always there....)and starts to store all the fat that it can so you don't actually starve....
  • Define "thin"? We use terms so loosely, but what one means exactly vary from culture to culture. I wear a pant size of 5, for some it may be ideal and for others maybe not. I eat to maintain my weight, which includes eating breakfast, lunch, dinner--smoothie, and 2/3 snacks in between as faithly as I can. I work out about 4-6 times a week depending upon my schedule. I often get home late, so I tend to have a smoothie instead of dinner because my body digest liquids better than solid foods after a certain hour. However, I work in the non-profit world which often involves traveling to some conference or function, so I may not be able to eat accordingly, so I am very conscious of what enters my body. Mind over matter :-D

  • i just eat health, try to eat in moderation, and exercise regularly. i used to count calories and really watched my diet, but because of my obsessive compulsive personality, i drove myself nuts, and i was losing way to much weight. but i make sure to only eat until i'm not hungry anymore, and i try not to eat to the point that i'm full. which means that i eat a lot of little meals verses 3 big meals.
  • eat very little... i know its stupid but i still do it
  • My bathroom scales are right next to the toilet. Every morning after i piss, i weigh my self. Then i determine how much i will eat that day. I weighed 125 lbs when i graduated from high school in 1968 and i weigh 125 now.
  • i eat at Macdonald's
  • I eat right and exercise a lot ... read my profile ...
  • Who says I'm thin? I'm 244 pounds! I have a fair amount of muscle though...
  • i eat 5-6 small meals daily so my metabolism won't slow down, i drink plenty of water and green tea, i try to sleep at least 8 hours every night and i exercise for 1 hour, 6-7 times a week. indoor cycling is the answer, dude :)
  • Well, I diet, and now I'm underweight.
  • Play Rugby! Yaarg
  • exercise and i dont eat much food
  • I go on spurts of limiting my food intake, and I burn at least 200 calories a week. But I'm chubby anyway.
  • Diet soda, I don't touch certain foods, I eat cake and cookies only on special occasions, diet pills, and limiting my food intake.
  • Nothing as I am not thin.
  • I don't... :(
  • I just eat when i'm hungry, never any other time. When i do eat, i eat something little. I don't eat till i'm full full, but just till the stomache pains go away. Then i drink a lot of water to make me feel fuller. I also watch my calorie intake, by making sure i don't eat food with a ton of calories, and that i don't go over my limit for the day. I also stopped eating fast food, and barley ever eat sweets.
  • I make sure every day to get aleast 15 to20 minites of cardio vascular exercise, I eat fresh fruits and vegtables for snacks between meals and never put more mayo or butter and other such fats on my food just a little is all you need.
  • I eat lots of small meals, unlimited veges and fruit as long as its not potatoes, pumpkin, sweet potatoes or bananas. I eat more protein and less/very minimal starchy foods, pure protein and carbohydrate both have 19 kilojoules per gram, however protein makes you feel fuller than carbohydrates, so you can achieve a lower energy intake. But eat whatever in the weekends, because you need a break. I also exercise, I go to the gym or exercise to try and increase my metabolism. Oh and do weights, works wonders!
  • I only eat small meals (I graze all the time). I don't drink alcohol. I try to avoid empty calories. I don't eat red meat...I keep active and exercise...I chose good parents to have thin genes:)
  • Gym six days a week and eat healthy.
  • Well, since you've mentioned that you're over 50 I'll let you know what my mom does instead of what i do. She gets up every morning to do an hour of cardio and strength building, has a light breakfast, a healthy lunch, drinks a couple litres of water per day and has a healthy dinner a few hours before going to bed and eats nothing too close to bedtime. Losing weight isn't easy, and you have to be dedicated to it and make it a way of life if it's going to work.
  • Eat a huge breakfast A Moderate lunch And a small dinner. No Snacking, High protein, moderate carbs, lots of salad and vegetables
  • try to keep away from foods which have a lot of oil and fat , and keep up with foods with vitamins and protiens.
  • 5-6 small meals a day is super key, it raises your metabolism. but they gotta be healthy. then at least a moderate exercise schedule. possibly a supplement such as agel's fit.
  • I have no idea really..I'm not fat, but not supermodel skinny, I don't exercise much (except in gym class, where they force me to, which is probably good for me), I don't bother checking how much I weigh, because I simply don't care. What matters is how I feel being the weight I am. If I feel that I should be thinner, I'll exercise and quit eating cookies. Sure, I feel a little twinge of jealousy at skinnier people, but let's face it: there will always be skinnier people. I'm happy this way, and I'll do what makes me happy, thank you very much.
  • i dont do it but i think its a great idea..... im saving up to buy a digital scale.. weigh youself every morning.. wake up, go to the bathroom and before putting anything inside your body, weigh yourself. this way you will know if the number goes up then you should eat healthier, if the number goes down, good for you!
  • I go jogging 3 times a week but the best exercise is to try to stay away from food especially junk food. Vegan or frutarian diet for a few weeks can help.if you have any questions about these, reply.
  • ok I see what you mean. I have the same problem sometimes it is easy to be in control but there may be times when it is impossible to control eating habits. There is a thing we call emotional hunger..we try to satisfy it with food though it does not work. anyways..i hope you may find a way to a disciplined diet. meditation might work.
  • I simply don't eat bread or anything with sugar.
  • I drink a BIG glass of water before any meal. And I stop eating when I'm full.
  • I exercise a lot. The key is to find something you enjoy. I really enjoy cycling and at my weight and speed (155 and 13mph), I burn 49 cals/ mile (according to a site called NutritionData), so 70 miles/ week in 3workouts burns about an average of 490/ day. I also really enjoy the frsh air and getting a natural tan. I also lift weights. I try not to eat junk, but I eat a lot, being a 20 y/o old guy. Probably age and gender help a lot too to admit. I once did count how many cals I was getting and it was over 3000, not a surprise since the GDA for a man is 2500, I'm only 20 and get a lot of exercise. I probably will have to watch what I eat later on (my dad runs, but still eats less than me). From what I've been told, the human body is designed to want the number of Calories which it needs to maintain its setpoint weight. This setpoint weight is lowered considerably by regular exercise and healthy diet. I eat a piece of fruit at breakfast, two at lunch, one for a snack, and loads of veggies at night. I also try to get some form of protein in the morning (boiled eggs or peanut butter) as this keeps you full for longer. I also never skip meals, and try to keep on top of sleep. For those still struggling, many gyms do a metabolism measurement. To stay the same weight, work out how much food you can have with healthy foods, and stick to it. If you tend to pig out at special dos, etc. set your Calorie intake slightly lower, and also decide how much to have at the do. If you want to lose weight aim for 500-750 Calories less than maintenance.
  • I have cut sugar out of my diet, dont eat junk food or bread. I try to gym at least twice a week, run with my dog twice a week and horse ride 3 times a week :)
  • It is very very simple. I lost 4 stone in less than 6 months following a few simple rules.... Never skip breakfast (gets the metabolism going) eat 3-4 low fat meals a day at regular intervals (i stuck to less than 5% fat) and sweat for at least 30 minutes as often as possible (i did 4 times a week) - It's so easy, truly is - just requires some commitment. Once you get to the level you want you can start treating yourself food wise again, but never let up on the excersise, it's good for the mind aswell as the body - good luck
  • i do both excercise and dieting.i do not consume sugar and fats.i drink lot of water.
  • I'm not thin, but fit. Eat 5-6 small, nutrient dense meals every 3 hours Eat a balance of 40-40-20 (carbs, protein and fats) Eat healthy choices (lean protein choices) Bake or grill foods (season don't sauce) Drink lots of water (no sugary drinks or juices) I do resistance training 3x a week I get high intensity cardio exercise 5-7x a week I also reduced sugar in my diet; especially foods containing sugar AND fat. This changed my life: www.burnthefat.com
  • staying thin is 60% nutrition and 40% exercise. I have a respect policy with my body, I respect it by feeding it nutritious and healthy vegetarian and ETHICAL foods (ie; made without slave labour and without harming anybody) ONLY when I am hungry and do not starve myself, and it therefore respects me by keeping my metabolism high and burning fat. I'm a cilliac and vegetarian so I really have to watch what I eat anyway, buy NOBODY will stop me eating a lollypop or a row of good quality chocolate if I want it. If you treat food solely as an energy source and detatch emotional meaning to it (eg; "treats", eating when sad or bored ect) you'll drop weight easily because youre olny eating when youre hungry. I also exercise a lot, training for triathlons means a 10km bike ride, 3km swim and an 8km run at least once a week, as well as weight training to improve strength twice a week, and for a bit of fun, boxing and acrobatics classes 4 times a week. But if i don't feel like training or I feel sick I DO NOT PUSH MY BODY, i might go for a light walk if i feel up to it.
  • I am a vegetarian. I eat properly and exercise regularly. I have lost 40lbs since Feb of 2008 and have kept it off. I exercise 3 to 4 times a week, sometimes for several hours. To keep the weight off one must burn more calories then they take in. It's as simple as that.
  • just dont drink soda, and join an athletics group at your school
  • I walk, drink lots of water, and eat lots of veggies.(which I LOVE!)thats about it but i have good genes and metabolism too.
  • im fat , and happy
  • I am 39 years old, 5ft 7 and 129 lbs. I used to be 174. I enrolled in Taekwondo 5 years ago. At first it was horrible, all that jumping and kicking I thought I would pass out, but I am now a 2nd degree black belt, assistant instructor and have managed to keep the weight off and I eat whatever I want. I do exercise 1 hour at this 5 days a week and drink tons of water. Drinking water is a natural appetite suppressant plus it's really healthy
  • dont diet its stupid why spend your life eating horrible foods just to be thin, eat what you like and enjoy it then exercise
  • I usually eat an extremely light breakfast and I try to try a lot of different healthy foods to keep myself interested so that I don't get interested in different sweets and fats.
  • Walk every day, strength train 2-3 days a week, yoga 5 days a week, and drink LOTS of water. I eat smaller portions than I used to, and when we go out, I immediately ask for a to-go box, and pack up half my meal before I start eating, that way I eat less. I've reduced the size plates I use at home, so the plate is full, but there's not as much food, LOL. I eat 1 oz of nuts 1 to 2 times per day, usually before lunch, makes me eat less food. And I still drink lots and lots of water. I generally try to drink water before each meal, so that I feel full sooner. I try to time my computer time in 15 minute increments, so that I have to GET UP and walk to do something before I can come back for another 15 minutes.
  • I like to dance in my room sometimes, because I looove music... I eat a lot of veggies as well with almost everything I eat everyday However, I want to loose 4 pounds to get down to 110 pounds...I'm 5 food 2 and I'd loose to be at that weight...Can anyone help me?
  • Who? Me? I eat 6 meals a day and ... Wait, you said, "thin!" Sorry, wrong guy. Good luck though. I will read the thread with interest. Seriously, I am on the long road and my trainer started me off journaling all my food intake. Eye-opening.
  • Lot's of good suggestions here.
  • Exercise and watch my diet although I still find it difficult even then.
