Would you continue answering religious questions even if someone goes through and DR all your answers every time you do?

I've given up on answering Religious and Philosophical questions (even though Philosophy is my major), simply because I don't appreciate the backlash and disrespect I get for expressing my point of view. It's not so much about points as it is about closed-mindedness. If I can't express my view without being preached to (And this doesn't just apply to Christians), then I don't really want to share my view with you.

Yes. I don't care about the downrates. They don't harm me in real life or morally. I want to express my point of view, and I'll do it, whether or not people agree with me.

I'll answer any question I think I have an interesting answer to, regardless of potential responses. Positive feedback usually outweighs even the most malicious troll, so even if I were here for points, DRs like that wouldn't concern me.

I get belly laughs from DR's more often than not.....a "+" or 6 is cool...but nowhere near as entertaining as witnessing the shallowosity of being offended by a comment on the internet from a complete stranger :) Keep posting....heck, I may even DR ya so you can laugh...but I'll ++ this one ;) ☮

Who cares what other people say? Some people hate religion, and so will downrate every religious question & answer they can find. It's stupid - unless it's a really stupid question or answer, (like some people just put gibberish up) I don't downrate.

Yes -- this happened to me when I first got onto AB, now there are only a few categories where I know I'll be downrated, but in most categories I've figured out how to write answers without offending people's sense of right and wrong.

h yes!! I will and do continue to anwser them ... shit I get D/R's anyway even if I word my answer exactly the same as others who answer ... so while they get + points I get D/R'd

There is a little thing called 'convictions'. If we all were too scared to express our opinions because of what others thought then we would be a very backward species. Its funny that this question is regarding religious questions because if Jesus Christ had of been worried about being 'downrated' we wouldn't have a way to salvation. I personally will answer questions the way I see them and not 'shape' them to cater to a points system. :)

Yea, people are narrow minded and if something frightens them, they panic. If its REALLY not an incorrect answer, don't DR, just IGNORE it...can't bother you that much.
