Women: can you change a car tyre? and do general maintenanceon your car? or do you let a man do it?

I'm a woman, and I change tires myself, and I always perform regular maintenance on my car. Why wouldn't I? I own it.

I work for a local car dealership, which also have a service centre, and on weekends im learning how to be a mechanic, so i know how to change the tyres and all maintenance :D

Yes although it is sometime quite a feat. My father would not let me drive a car until I learned how to change my own tire.

I do the things I can do well and get paid for and I pay someone else to do the things I'm not professional in . . . like the car stuff. That's what works for me.

I can change my tires and change the oil and oil filter in my car, my dad taught me when he bought me my first car at 17..

Yes, oil/tune up/oxygen sensors/starters, radiator u name it I can do it. Takes time/common sense & the right tools.
