Each state has a different scale. Last year in Florida the installers voted for Union representation, for a contract scale of $10/hour + $3 in benefits. In California, the new minimum wage is $8/hour, so they must earn at least that much, but probably not much more. It depends on the level of experience, also. Right out of trade school, it would be minimum, and probably peak at $12, before you become a supervisor.
