Yeah, cause people could be jealous of you giving the perfect answer.
-
I think people do that to good questions too.
-
Yes it could. Being such a great answer, means that it will be the most uprated, meaning it'll be the top answer of the question. Here's when jerks come to place, downrating the answer so it'll reach a lower level. Trolls and others.
-
yes. some people just don't want to hear the truth.
-
Potentially. The more it is rated up the more people will see it the more the troll types will get into firing position... that is of course my theory and I could be wrong!
-
That's seems to be the rule, actually. Most of my best answers have been downrated at least once, while my most stupid ones gain huge amounts of points while they should just be ignored. It doesn't make sense, but I go with it. This answer would be a good example. Just before this edit, I got downrated. Now, I thought this answer was pretty good compared to some of my others, but I guess I was wrong.
-
I find no matter what my answer it gets downrated by someone, because they dont agree with your opinion, whether its the best answer or not
-
I don't think the quality of the answer has anything to do with it getting dred. I think the topic and your opinion on that topic has more to do with it. Some members unfortunately have not learned that everyone is entitled to their own opinion on a subject. Just because someone's opinion is not the same as yours is no reason to downrate their answer unless they were very rude in the answer.
-
Yes..... because many people only want to hear what they want to hear.......not the other side.
-
Yes I think it could!
