I see you are UK and my hometown, yes, they are a rip-off, time to drop 50% of the tax and the gov will still profit and WHY do we let OPEC hold us (the western world) to ransom?, but thats another question. good question + :o)

They are artificially inflated to gain maximum profits.The mess in the middle east helps maintain high profits,that is why not much is done about maintaining peace.Also the so called oil shortages are fake and is are excuses again to raise the prices.In the summer the price of petrol is higher because these greedy companies know we will drive more.There should be a day a month that all people in the world pick not to drive.This would make these gougers think.

I have always said that a gallon or regular unleaded gasoline, should never cost the public more than .49 cents a gallon. Its not that expensive to produce.

I heard in Victoria, Australia before the Easter break they are paying almost 1.50 a litre for unleaded petrol.

No, not really... I assume you're refering to the american fuel prices, which are ridiculously low compared to how it is here. And I really don't mind the prices here either, they might actually encourage people to think about their driving habits

yes they are and would be lower but the war cost millions a day .I knew they would go up when it started .Just because some other countrys are paying more doesnt mean is an OK price for us in the USA! Next car I get will be electric !!!!!!!
