It is very accurate. You have to wait 3 months after exposure before you can take an accurate test.

The test is over 99% accurate. However, you must have developed the antibody (for the most commonly used test), which can take several months to develop.

It is very reliable. The process would be confidential too so don't worry.

You can get a cotton swab in your mouth to test for it and get the answer that day. Which isn't as accurate but I think it is still in the high 90% area.
