Because they are ill informed and close minded

If someone believes in something that evidence shows is false. Plain as day evidence, and chooses to ignore or make excuses so he can continue and not change the way he lives. I don't want him running our military no matter what his religion is. You see the LDS are guided by a prophet, if he is a true LDS member he is not in charge, God's not in charge, some guy who claims he speaks to God is in charge. And this prophet can change their scriptures to fit the world. You see Mitt will not be in charge spiritually, God won’t be in charge spiritually, Gordon B. Hinckley will be in charge!

There was the same argument about JFK being a Catholic. People said he would take his orders from the big head of the Catholic Church. Unfortunately, he took a lot of orders from a smaller head. MR isn't my first choice, but I'll vote for him instead of HRC or Obama.

The same arguement was made against JFK when he ran for president too, him being Catholic. It was wrong then as it's wrong now. Latter-Day Satan is a heavily prejudaced individual that hates Mormons. He denies it, but it's plain to all who read his entries in the mormon boards. He spreads seething hatred, ill-will, and discontent there, using lies and half-truths to spread an agenda. Those are not very Christian-like attributes. Anyway, Mormons have been persecuted for as long as they've existed, and there is an unfathonomably large amount of evidence to back it up, it's just that you have to be willing to accept it. Like the character, Mulek, out of the Book of Mormon. Enemies of the church have long claimed he never existed, but it turned out that he did. Also they claimed Alma was never a Jewish name, that it was made up, but in recent years it has been discovered, from texts dating back to the 6th century B.C., that Alma was not only a Jewish name, but also a male name. Also the Book of Mormon mentions towers being built, and paved roads, and natural disasters in the America's, all of these things having been proven. The Book of Mormon says that at the time of Christ's death, the sky became pitch black, and the ground quaked, and cities were swallowed up by water, and many other event attributable to a massive volcanic eruption. The ash in the air blocked out the sun. Geologists have found signicicant evidence that such an event did indeed occur within 50 years of 50 A.D. Sorry if this seems unnecessary, but since Latter-Day Satan said that there was NO EVIDENCE, I thought I'd counter, and say that there is CONSIDERABLE EVIDENCE. Whether or not he chooses to determine that it's all a coincidence is fine, that's his free will, but to say that there's no evidence if a deception. Mick Romney is qualified for the job, so I will be voting for him, and it has nothing to do with him being Mormon. I may be Mormon, but I want what's best for the country, and while Romney may have some shortcomings, I don't like any other of the candidates. Romney, to me, inexperienced as he may be, seems the lesser of the evils. I'm not calling him evil though, that is only a figure of speech, so Latter-Day Prince of Lies better not quote me out of context.
