  • I have a kit with reflective triangles, a flash light that blinks yellow caution lights, a tire pump, a rain poncho, a spare tire and jack, some fix-a-flat, oil, flares, first aid kit, some auto tools, and toilet paper(you never know). lol
  • I carry a flashlight with an yellow emergency strobe on it. I have some fix-a-flat. I carry a blanket and cold weather gear such as a hat and gloves even though I live in Georgia. I also have a little first aid kit in my trunk.
  • I don't think I have anything more than a blanket!! Probably not the smartest thing... but I do have On Star, does that count??
  • I have a first aid kit & a portable survivor light that runs off of batteries & has a crank on it if the batteries run dead & its a florescent light with a siren. And condoms in the glove box & tampons (but the condoms ain't mine, lol)
  • Flashlight, two gallons of water in the trunk, 8 large packs of beef jerky, (because it almost never goes bad) roll of duck tape, a large blanket, and a "daily travel pack" to clean up if I need to away from home. I only started doing this a couple months ago, to make sure I can stay in the car for a day or two if its really needed.
  • First aid kit, fire extinguisher, tools for minor emegencies (flat tire for exmple), paper towels, a spare set of warm clothing, bottled water, granola bars, a spare battery for my cell phone, and a days worth of prescription medication if necesarry. Overkill perhaps, but we get some nasty traffic jams here and most people commute 10+ miles each way (on 9/11 it was a nightmare and snow can back it up for 3-8 hours, yes HOURS).
  • I carry a flashlight, a Leatherman, and a cell phone...'cause usually if you break down on the road you can't fix it with what you have with you lol. So I use the phone to call in a parts/tools drop...them I'm on my way again.
  • Duct tape and a gallon of gasoline. The duct tape will repair any hose leaks. The gallon of gasoline will take you to the next interstate exit. Everything else will rquire a tow truck. Duct tape and gasoling is all you need.
  • Other than the standard spare tire and jack, I have a toolbox full of metric tools(metric for mitsubishi), a bottle jack, jumper cables, rope for towing, duct tape, spare fuses, a first aid kit, a few bungee cords, steel wire for holding up my tail pipe etc, a lithium-battery flashlight(lithium batteries last 10 yrs), a winter coat, hat, gloves, some extra clothes, a small shovel. I'm probably forgetting a few things. I'm also ordering some emergency food, and those fantastic pouches of emergency water. I also intend to get a blanket, pillow, and 2 small gas cans in there. If I run into trouble I'm not prepared for, I just might go into hysterics. If you're wondering why anyone would go so crazy about this stuff, my best explanation is, because I'm an Eagle Scout. I actually found this while looking for a list of supplies to see if I missed anything. I hope someone found this useful. Oh one last thing: I read somewhere about keeping contact solution, toothbrush, etc in your car. One odd but valid item I saw was toilet paper...
