When you make a list, are you more likely to put a period or parenthesis after each number?

Wow. I never really thought about it. I do both, I think. It's not really a conscious thought of choosing which one, I just do one or the other. If I think hard I think that I use a parenthesis more than a period. If I'm doing a list on the computer it would more likely be a period, as I would normally just click on the numbered list button in a word processing program.

If i'm on a computer I usually put a ) after the number unless i'm in a program that adds bullets for me. On papaer notes I usually use a DASH ( - ) after the number. or even a dash without a number to indicate a list. Good question. +4
