  • I think it works the same was as it did with PS1 games saved on a PS2, you must use the PS2 memory card in the PS3 otherwise the games will not save.
  • If the PS2 game you wish to play and save is compatible with your PS3 (but be aware that many are not yet), in order to save PS2 data you need to create an "internal" PS2 memory card on your PS3 HD. Once you've got a virtual memomory card, you also need to create an internal memory card "slot". You can't use real memory cards because the PS3 doesn't have memory card slots. To create a memory card, select "Memory Card (PS/PS2) Utility" under "Game". Then select "New Internal Memory Card". Then select "Internal Memory Card (PS2).
