  • I think Americans should like Britain have no guns period. It is to easy to brandish a weapon and use it for shit like this or depression etc,
  • Not that crazy.. maybe he was pissed there werent more hooters there to look at... damn i think someone should have limited his beer intake there!!
  • Near Seattle, a woman and her husband got mad because her parents urged her to get a job and help with the expenses, so they shot her Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister-in-Law, niece(6), and nephew(3) on Christmas Day. Just to put this in perspective, 20,000 people starve to death every day of the year.
  • We had to call the police at our office once because a man came in and demanded to have his account credited... It was quite frightening. We were pretty happy to have our silent emergency buttons under our desks!
  • I know it happens, I am prepared to make it stop whenever it happens within my own line of fire. I hope to God that day never comes, but unfortunately it did for these people.
  • Oh yes. Fast food restaurants and such are organised so that the customers will get angry with the low end employees. It's like the FBI giving arms to different ethnic gangs to keep them fighting each other.
  • I worked as a fraud investigator for a major credit card company. A customer called and said they had $.01 charge they did not make. (yes, a one cent charge) We closed the account, issued a new card # and informed the customer he would get a $.01 credit on his next bill. He was furious and wanted to speak to the president and CEO of the company for a full investigation. He refused to hang up no matter how many managers spoke to him and was on the phone for 8 hours with us, which should have only been about a 5 minute call. He threatened to beat up and sue every person he spoke to until we told him who made the charge. He also called the FBI and CIA (no joke) the next day and insisted that they launch an investigation themselves to find the person that charged one penny to his account. He was a total lunatic.

  • I have worked in the restaurant business for eight years (I started when I was thirteen), and continually find myself becoming more and more bitter towards people. Having to deal with people in this type of situation is not ideal, and the lines between "server" and "servant" often times become blurred. I heard once somewhere that a server or bartender can sometimes know more about a person in two minutes than that person's friends can. Getting upset over the check is not unusual, in fact, it is one of the biggest complaints. I remember a few months ago I was working an exceptionally busy Football Sunday (I currently work at a small bar and actually really like it), and I had a four-top- two men and two women. They were all extremely pleasant during the game, lunch, and while enjoying their many drinks. Anyway, I called them a taxi while they sat outside and smoked; the older man wanted one more martini (I think it was a Bombay-weird what you remember), so I brought that along with the check out to the patio. There was an argument over who was going to pay, but in the end the martini man won. He made no attempt to reach for his wallet (and I think it's rude to stand there ), so I decided to quickly use the restroom and then retrieve the check. When I emerged a few minutes later, my table had already left and the book was empty. The bill was for one hundred dollars and I have to pay for all walk-outs, so I was devastated. I called the taxi company and got a hold of the man; I told him that I was sorry for the inconvenience, but that he must pay his tab, either by phone or by turning back around. He said he didn't feel comfortable giving his card number over the phone (perfectly understandable). A few minutes later, the woman who argued for the bill stalked in the bar. She then proceeded to bitch at me in front of my whole bar about how this was my fault and and that I said the check was all clear and now she has to pay extra for the taxi...omg she went and on and on. Finally, I kinda lost it and yelled back; my boss intervened and tried to rectify the situation- but he stood up for me all the way (he is wonderful), and finally the woman left in a huff...hopefully destined to not return.
  • I think at a place like Hooters, it wasn't the bill that made him angry, lol
  • i worked at KFC for 2 years, starting when i was 14. there were 2 particularly bad incidents that i remember. first was one woman spitting in my face becuase she didnt like her twister. (anyone who's worked in fast food KNOWs that the register workers dont actually make the food, the peopole out the back do) second was a guy who picked up my register and threw it at the wall when i told him we'd run out of gravy (made from the left over fat from the chicken cookers). scary bastard.
  • Yeah... Menstrual women.
  • Not at the bills, but they were so angry that I let a little girl and her friends get "firsts" at tables for lunch in the dining car of the amtrak train I worked at the time. It was the girls birthday, and it was "first come, first served" as far as the tables went for break fast and lunch. He apologized profusely later in the night because he had seen another passenger rail and rant at me for the exact same reason sans group of girls.
