Someone decided to strangle a chipmunk and repeatedly broadcast it over the radio. Not quite sure why they named it "Mr. Lonely"...

    HOOBASTANK - THE REASON.

That song makes me cringe. An ex-girlfriend wanted me to listen to this song after she made a big mistake in our relationship. It seemed like they played the song on the radio every 5 minutes for 3 years straight.

Don't know that it was a huge hit, but "Down Came a Blackbird" by Lila McCann. I was a DJ at the time, and I refused to play it.
This was a fun question! Thank you!

I dislike the following songs that were big hits:

"I Wanna Love You" and "I Wanna F**k You" and "Smack That" - Akon
"Hey There Delilah" - Plain White T's
"Crank Dat Soulja Boy" - Soulja Boy
    "Candy Shop" - 50 Cent.
    "Buy U A Drank (Shawty Snappin')" - T-Pain

I'm sure there's more, but just thinking up these ones got ugly annoying catchy tunes stuck in my head.

I dont know how big of a hit it was but about 21 years ago I worked at a flower shop and just about every time I was in the front of the store the radio was playing "All My X's Live in Texas" I hate that song to this day.

    Just about all of them.

Almost any song that becomes a big hit gets overplayed to the point of annoyance.

That's a big reason I don't listen to the radio for music anymore.

I will single out the Duran Duran song "Is There Something I Should Know?" because when it was on the radio my friends and I would make fun of the chorus by calling it "Please Please Play Me Now".

That's the Way I Like It, K C and the Sunshine Band. I hated his cocaine induced rantings and bouncings. They get stuck in your head forever.

I was never fond of the Donna Summer song where she simulates orgasm for five long minutes either.
