Unfortunately we know that some women are prone to them, we do not understand the full reasons WHY they happen and why some women get them all the time.

There are theories such as "genetics" however we do not have a full understanding of the human DNA so we can not take a sample, string it out and look at it and say "Ah Ha! - there is the bit of code that needs to be fixed."

And since we do not know what bit of code is the cause, we have not figured out a means to fix it.

Also alternative health 'holistic health' or Natural Health methods have been known to help with conventional medicines for over all quality of life in many things, from pain management to, as in your case, reducing the occurrence of ovarian cysts.

A special note on that, there are still man "quacks" out there who try to sell you magic potions and powders. If it sounds to good to be true, most likely it is not true.

However more rest, proper diet, even many otc supplements have an impact on over all health. Western Medicine is slow on the pick up, but have been accepting of alternative health care with conventional health care.

Of course you should write down the names of stuff you do fine BEFORE you buy them and ask your doctor his/her opinion on their effectiveness.

Speaking of opinion, get a couple more opinions from other doctors.

The Medical field is highly specialized now days simply because there is no way that one human being can know everything current and coming out each and every single day in medicine.

It is possible that your current doctor just does not know of another treatment option, say a new one, or an "experimental" one.
