  • immigration is a touch and go subject, but really it comes down to this. -our borders should be physically enforced. -We should set tough but reachable guidelines for people to become legal citizens, everyone should have a chance, but just because you came here illegally does not mean you get to jump to the front of the line. -If an illegal immigrant is caught committing a crime, he /she should be deported asap. -We should stop subsidizing illegal immigration with the birthright citizenship for all (meaning only give birthright citizenship to those who's parents are actually legal citizens) -Easily obtained amnesty cannot be an option, do not award illegal behavior. There are many more options, but those seem to be the most important.
  • Start by enforcing the laws on the books. After we demonstrate a willingness to seriously address the issue, then beginning amending or adding new laws. Since we are not enforcing the current laws, there doesn't seem to be much point in talking about new ones.
  • Start by enforcing what is there. Build the fence and install armed patrols with orders to shoot to kill. You will never get politicians to do anything. Votes and money are at stake, and that out weighs doing the right thing.
  • I think it is too late now . With the North Atlantic Alliance less that 2 years away. I say let them come on in now. We might help the ecomomy now.
