It's possible, depending on your build, but not very easy. The best no-nonsense way to do it is to exercise more and watch your calorie count. You'll end up losing weight in spurts, then plateau out, and lose more weight again. The trick is to keep yourself motivated, so set reasonable goals so you keep up with it. Aim for 30 in 5 months and just be happy if/when you beat your goals

Well I personally did it about 4 years ago during my first summer off from college. I gained a lot of weight in college, no freshman 15 for me. It was more like the freshman 50. It sucked. I jumped up to 220 by the end of freshman year and i came in at 180. That summer, I found a summer job working in a warehouse for a local supermarket. Basically i drove around on a pallet jack, lifted cases of food and shipped them off on trucks. Also it was hot as hell in the warehouse during summer as there is no A/C. At the end of the summer job, i dropped to 170!!! the lowest i have been since like 9th grade. So after thinking about it, i guess i did several things to lose so much weight. 1.) I lifted a lot of weight, but in small increments, meaning the heaviest item i lifted was only 60 pounds, but doing that and most other cases of food being less than 20, about 1500 times a day certainly helped and i got tone. 2.) I sweated my ass off, and a lot of weight, be in a hot environment, run or treadmill in sweatpants to sweat out a lot of water. 3.) Only eat three meals a day. Being at that job and having designated break times and lunch times, eating only leftovers and lunch meat i guess helped out as well. I figure anytime one sticks away from fast food, even if it is leftovers of like burgers on the grill from home, is still a better choice than fast food. So i guess that is it. Hope this helps and good luck.

I did it. My endocrinologist put me on a 1800 calorie diet and I lost between the last week of October of 2001 and March of 2002 close to fifty pounds. I did not exercise at all. All I did was to count calories eating almost everything, with the exception of fast food (completely forbidden), sugar, and fried stuff.
