  • I tell myself that's enough of that, and force myself to stop.
  • It takes 21 days to build a habit (give or take). There is no set amount of time that it takes to break it. Obviously, it takes much longer to break a habit than it did to start one. The amount of time varies depending on the individual and on the habit.
  • I have heard and also tried this theory...Doing anything for 14 days in a row (without skipping a day) will become a habit. For instance, if you take a vitamin everyday at 10am for 14 days in a row, it will become a habit. I have found this to be true. Although I have not tried the 14 day theory for breaking a habit, it seems to me that it would work the same way
