Usually, new members are not aware of the duplicates. They are usually asking for others to solve their problem. They really don't focus on the aspects of Answerbag unless they wish to stay.

Maybe they are double-clicking on the submit button? Not sure, just a theory.

1) The identical duplicates, coming just one after the other, come from people who are doppelclicking on the submit button, especially if Answerbag works slowly in their browser. This happens to nearly everyone until they have got some feedback about it, so quite often. I think it also happened to me once. Tell them in a comment thread, if the questions are answered. 2) The unidentical duplicates come from people who by all means are trying to get an answer to their questions. They don't understand that a question could not immediately get answered. And some questions are very difficult or can only be answered by particular people. 3) There are also the plagiarist questions. You just read an interesting question, it seems to work well and you post a similar question. 4) in all cases, check for sure that the question can be considered as a duplicate and if it is the case, flag it as such. You can get 5 points as rewarding for your help.

I've seen an increase of these duplicates also. I hate to say bad things about newbies, but it looke like we have more people joining who don't check if their question is a duplicate.
