How do you 3 way call someone on a cell phone? (Directions please)

On my phone I think you just hit the "send" button while connected to somebody, and then you can dial another number. After the third person picks up you hit "send" again. But that's my phone, so it might be different on yours depending on what phone you have.

I have a boost mobile telephone. 1. Have the first person on the line. 2. Press "options". 3. Choose "3-way calling". 4. Dial the second person's number. 5. Once you have that person on the line press "options" again. 6. Choose "3-way calling" again. If you did it right, all three of you will be on the phone.
