  • No..don't be so argumentative, it's annoying. State your case and be done with it already.
  • No. When I see a debate or argument turn in a direction that says "I can't get my point across with this person," then I simply walk away. Better to remain unspoken and thought a fool than to speak and be known one, as the old adage goes.
  • Unless you really, really need to convince these people that you are right for some reason, I don't see any reason to bother.
  • It depends on what's at stake. If someone's life depends on it, I will pursue it, but if it involves trying to convince someone who has made it plain that their opinion is fixed, I wouldn't bother, just agree to disagree.
  • Depends on what you or others can gain from it (positively, of course). I just did that with an airline whose brand-spankin' new representative made an error and had no idea what she was doing. Spoke to two different supervisors who consulted with their co-supervisors... Got to keep my reservation for Christmas Day AND got almost $600 refunded.
  • If it's something actually important to you OR you feel the dissenting viewpoint is based not on differing views but on actual faulty logic and/or erroneous facts, then yes. If you believe your answer has been misinterpreted or twisted, then yes. If it's something that really isn't important to you, then no.
  • No ones perfect. Unless we're talking about football then George Best kissed the word.
