Nope...it's highly illegal. If the child is served with detention and the child does not go, then other actions must take place like suspension or expulsion. It is never OKAY to hold any student in school past the time school is ended and the administrator better be ready for a court battle.

No, it's called unlawful restraint. Highly illegal. If it's detention, thats another story, but it has a limit.
