I have to apologize that it will come from a bias of a modern standpoint but who could deny that there is more talent nowadays than there used to be when there were only just 6 teams playing one another. Marty Brodeur DEF belongs in the elite!!! I may be bias and spoiled living in New Jersey my whole life and him being the only real goalie I know, but you dont break almost every record for a goalie by accident... Hasek Roy Dryden...they make tons of sense, but like the other guy said what about Bower, Vezina, Glenn Hall?? Terry Sawchuk. That's probably 1 of the hardest questions to ask, to name the top 5 goalies ever. No matter how you answer it atleast 5 other guys deserve to be on that list.

I would say Martin Brodeur definitely deserves a top spot. Terry Sawchuck Ken Dryden Glenn Hall I HATE Patrick Roy....but he probably deserves a spot. (But I would rather vote for Hasek....inconsistent and a little crazy....but man I can't stand Roy)

I couldn't possibly nail down a list the top 5. There are so many great goalies. I think Brodeur definetly belongs on the top 5 though. I don't see anyone else mentioning this name but I think Evgeni Nabokov probably belongs somewhere on that list as well. I'm a Ducks fan, but I've seen Evgeni Nabokov make some absolutely what seemed like impossible saves. Only goalie in the All Star game last year that didn't get scored on.

It's hard to compare hockey now to hockey of the past. I would consider Martin Brodeur to be in the top five. Along with: 1. Patrick Roy 2. Key Dryden 3. Glen Hall 4. Terry Sawchuck They don't have to be in that order.

Knabby??why Knabby? Cuz he's won a cup? What else has be done? Nothing...why not Grant Fuhr or Billy Smith...they had multiple cups in a row...Tony Esposito would even be higher on that list than Knabby to be honest...that's just my opinion...even Hasek should rank higher than Knabby.
