  • In both cases of those two teams while they were located there, the market did not support the teams well and it was necessary for them to pick up and leave. There are rumors that the NFL is currently doing work at looking into starting a new expansion team in LA in the near future.
  • Even as the second largest US city, LA does not support football very well anymore, and has always been a baseball town anyway. Also, with so many other activities in LA they don't miss one sports team as much as other venues for sure. Not to mention, LA fans are not "hardcore" and cannot be compared even to Northern California fans let alone those in Philly, green Bay, etc. Going to a sports event in LA is more of a night out being seen, or something to do, unlike having season tickets being willed through the family like in Green Bay. The climate on the fan barometer is much more luke warm at best in LA.
  • I heard stories that Ram's fans would wait until the 2Q before heading off to the game. Wouldn't go if the team was behind.
