I have been in mental health treatment for over ten years, and from my experience, it sounds like you either have bipolar disorder, or maybe a hormonal imbalance. No matter what is wrong, it can be treated, and you can feel better. There are free or very cheap clinics all over the country that will help you in feeling better, and I can tell you from experience that the proper medication is worth far more than its weight in gold, and counseling is, for some people, a very good thing to take part in.

Maybe maybe not. It depends on how much your symptoms affects your ability to live life. Here is a link for an online depression screening test. But again it depends if your symptoms keep you from enjoying life. http://www.med.nyu.edu/psych/screens/depres.html If you do feel that your symptoms are interfering then the first thing to do is to get a complete physical. Many medical conditions can cause depression. If the doctor says that everything checks out and your symptoms are only mildly affecting then you can try any or all of the following: Exercise. It increases your endorphins which are feel good hormones. Eat a healthy and balanced diet. Get enough sleep. Sleep deprevation is a major problem for teens. Volunteer. Helping someone else gets you out of your head and helps you realize how fourtunate you are. Plus it feels good to help others. Get a hobby you enjoy. If you like self help books then read up on cogitive therapy. David Burns is an excellent author on the subject. If your symptoms affect your life more severly or if none of the above suggestions help then you may want to go see a therapist.

You certainly are not acting right and there is something wrong. Not sure if it is depression or something else but you do need to go get evaluated so that you can get help. Good luck and please don't put off getting an evaluation.
