  • frosted
  • frosted, better safe than sorry huh Frank ;-)
  • That's three for frosted. Clear glass takes away the excitement...
  • Frosted glass because IMO it seems classier. It also helps in the cleaning dept. because it can hide stains easier. It's like saying should I drive a white or a gray car. You have to wash that white car forever and that makes it a horrible color to maintain. The same goes for clear glass.
  • I LOVE the way clear looks, it's such a clean and classy look. With that being said, I would never want to be the one to clean it...it would be virtually impossible to keep it clean of water marks etc. Unless you are a domestic god I would go for the frosted :)
  • When I did my bath, I wanted to show off the tile work so went with a clear glass. I also have a view out the window from the shower that I like. It makes the bathroom seem larger. I went with "Starfire" glass, which doesn't have the green hue at the edges. I Squeegee it when I'm done to keep it clean
  • I saw Psycho at an impressionable age. Clear so I know who's coming!
  • I like frosted , more privacy
  • Frosted on the bottom, clear on top. They have some great designs made that way.
  • I like clear...feels more spacious inside...:)
  • I like clear. I think it looks classy and gives the impression of more space.
  • I don't have a stall with doors, but if I did, I'd prefer frosted. not only for privacy, but because it's so hard to keep clear streak-free without constant cleaning.
  • Frosted unless you want to spend 20 minutes per day trying to get soap scum and hard water stains off the glass.
  • I like clear. To me frosted glass always looks dirty.
  • I've had both and I prefer frosted. I like feeling cocooned in my own little world with the steam! Plus it's easier to keep looking clean and it's more 'fun' in other ways. ;)
  • Frosted because some mornings you ain't pretty.
  • I think frosted glass would look lovely and give the room an overall classy look.
  • Frosted my dear! You want to leave a little to the imagination... ;-)
  • I like the look of clear, but it is impossible to hide all of your shower items from prying eyes... but then again, I will open your shower curtain and look in there while i am in your bathroom for 'business' I will also look in your medicine cabinet.
  • If your shower looks good, get clear glass. It's very modern and makes the whole room look bigger. If you want to hide the shower, get frosted but it will cut off the room at the shower's edge and make the room look smaller and divided.
  • Frosted glass. Why CuriousFrank? Two reasons: it is easier to maintain--- clear glass gets that soap scum look too fast, and frosted glass gives you more privacy. I learned this one time when my wife and I were, ahem, "showering and soaping together" and making love when one of our very young children walked in (the door was accidentally unlocked and it was after midnight). Luckily, she was too tired to really notice, but the frosted glass covered us so she didn't see my wife and I together naked. The steam from the hot shower helped somewhat too. :)
  • As others have mentioned, frosted tends to hide the water stains a little better than clear.
  • frosted glass-- privacy factor and it looks cool!!!
  • Frosted would be easier to keep clean looking - i would think
  • I clean the office bathrooms and todate haven't had any problems with the glass at all, albiet they aren't used as much as a home shower would be. It is clear with stripes. We just looked as we are considering shower stalls ourselves and I liked the look of the clear. I do think it will make a bathroom look fresher.
  • I think clear glass looks nicer. Get the frameless doors from Kohler. As for privacy, they steam up quickly. I recommend getting a squeegie to wipe them down after each shower. It only takes 20 seconds and sure beats trying to get the scum off a month later. If you've retiled the shower stall then you surely want to be able to see your hard work.
  • Clear is nice and has that very modern look to it. Also of course you can see in and out. But unless you keep a very clean and organized shower stall all the time you may be sorry you didn't get the frosted glass. I would recommend you visiting a plumbing supply warehouse where they have all the catalogs available (not Home Depot)and you may find one that has etched glass that will give you the best of both worlds. Try Plumbers Supply in Fall River Ma.
  • Clear glass will show soap scum. Frosted glass will not. The choice is simple.
  • clear is so pretty
  • Clear looks real nice if you can keep it clean. If you have any kind of minerals in your water get frosted or they are always going to look dirty.
