The general rule is that when y=ax^n, dy/dx=anx^(n-1)... so if we re-write your equation as 1/2.1 * Q^2, then a=1/2.1 and n=2, so then the derivative with respect to Q is 2 * 1/2.1 * Q, or 2Q/2.1
