  • That tends to be the libertarian view. I tend to feel this way as well. As long as what you're doing doesn't cause discomfort/harm/annoyance to others. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libertarian There are always extremes that should be considered. You might find that you won't have any friends left if you follow that general rule too stringently. My answer is taking the question in a very general sense. • depends if it involves kids, hitting females or hurting animals ....then it IS my business
  • If it is illegal or in anyway designed to harm someone then I would consider it my business , otherwise , go for it.
  • No, very false. It comes from the distorted notion that a human is a separate island unto themself. But there are no actions (or inactions) which have no consequences whatsoever for others... if you look closely enough, there are so many interconnections that it's impossible to rule out causal relationships between apparently private acts and public effects. For example, your choice to leave a light on when you leave the room might seem private -- it's your light, your electric bill, etc.: but as we've come to realize lately, everybody has a "carbon footprint" that affects the planet as a whole. Your light bulb left on for convenience has consequences for others. The only way to steer well in life is to bear this in mind... that we're all interconnected, and privacy is only relative.
  • No this ignores the whole 'butterfly flapping it's wings over an island in the pacific' concept--where every action has a consequence.
  • And if it harm none, do what you will. But it must harm NONE. Think before you act and speak. Blessed Be :O)
