Who can run faster, the Flash or Superman?

    This age-old question was answered when Supes and Flash entered into a footrace around the world, not knowing it was arranged by Mr. Mxyzptlk as a way to trap Superman. A continuous road was magically created to circle the globe and both were constrained to staying on it at all times.

    Despite his confidence at the start, Superman soon found out that he is simply not a runner. He barely kept pace with the Flash, who wasn't even trying his hardest. A few twists and surprises later, Flash won.

    To my knowledge Flash won by inches in that race. In early issues the true speed of both heroes was never definitively tested. in races circumstances would not permit a fair race. In issues after written after 1990 writers decided to make Flash faster based on their own personal bias. Just like writers of superman decided to destroy his history when they stated that he never got his powers until his late teens, therefore he could never have been in the legion of superheroes. All things considered Flash is faster but it is not a blowout, Superman would win in a fight, blogs are annoying, and writers are biased idiots who do not care about the history of the character, and do not even get me started on Smallville.
