Higher taxes. You absolutely cannot have a universal health care plan without the funds from taxes. If you look at all the countries with universal health care plans, you will notice that they all have significantly higher taxes. Cuba is one exception I can think of...but I think they lack funding in other areas, so that's the only reason why they can afford adequate medical coverage to all.

As it works in most countries of the world,it would be made available to all citizens.It would be run fairly cost much less in premiums,and be more efficient.I one takes the time to research it and not listen to the media and politicians that lie about the usefulness of it.With universal health care one pays depending on their financial situation,and all get the same level of service.In other words the rich do not get better medical service than the poor.The private medical system has little compassion for the patient and the insurance industry is in it for the money,profiting from the sick.In the USA ,universal health care in on the doorstep and will be introduced.
