What is the best way to melt chocolate for fudge without burning it?

    You could put a pot in a larger pot of boiling water and melt it in that.

    In a double boiler. Or put a small metal mixing bowl inside a larger pot and boil.

    I find the microwave is the easiest way to melt chocolate. But if you are careful and vigilant you can melt it on the stove.

    Use a double boiler, or improvise to make your own.

    Boil water in a pot, and put a metal mixing bowl on top of the pot, and melt the chocolate in that.
