  • according to my research, the heaviest baby ever born was over 23 pounds. However the largest I had heard of with out searching was 16 pounds.

  • when I was in the hospital after giving birth to my twins (20 years ago), the lady in the room next to me had a 13 lb baby. OOoooooWWWW :-O

  • I know several ladies that have given birth to big 12 babies and a few that WERE those big babies. From just talking around, it seems like it was more common about 2-3 generations ago.

  • Someone recently in the paper gave birth totally naturally with no meds to a 16 pound baby girl. She said it wasn't horrible. Although it was her fourth. BUT, I know personally of 2 large babies born to friends. My friend's second daughter was 12.5 lbs. and she is expecting her third in December. Her first was also over 11 lbs. My aunt's last baby was born 11.6 lbs. naturally with no meds. Oh, another friend just had a 11 lb. on the dot baby girl.
  • a kid i knew year ago was 16/17 pounds when he was born... his mom said it had something to do with her developing diabetes while pregnant. i think she was full of it.
