Romanian, because my best friend is Romanian and it would be fun to talk using her native tongue. It would also be nice to know Portuguese, make it a lot easier to understand what most capoeira instructors are saying.

Japanese... My grandma was japanese and I would love to go to Japan and be able to speak to my Great Grandmother, who I have never met before... That's exactly what I would do if I were to wake up speaking japanese...

Spanish, because its the 2nd most widely used language in my area. That way I can understand what they say to me and vice versa.

Spanish. I have many Spanish speaking co-workers and I meet many people who speak Spanish. I need to work on rolling my r's.

Spanish, because I live in California and many times it would be handy to know. Spanish, being derived from Latin, would make Italian easier to learn as well.

French I think. My native language is Greek, I think I speak English fluently. I pretty much understand everything in German, so I can understand the basics in all germanic languages; I'm on my way to learn Italian and Spanish, so French is the only language that I have no time for! Plus I'm a bit romantic:-)

Manadrin Chinese. With the global climate changing so dramatically lately, I'd like to be ahead of the curve. Plus, I'd be able to understand everything that was said in the TV Series FireFly! :-)

Italian, no question! I've got bits of it, and I want all of it, but I'm so lazy/busy/tired/confused that never seem to get around to doing it! Too wake up and find I've magically been given the gift of a language would be wonderful! =D Pleeeeeease!!

Spanish. I live in the Southwest and I hablo poco espanol y entiendo incluso menos. Seeing as over 400 million people speak Spanish worldwide, I think it is the most useful second language to speak fluently...from an English speaking standpoint. My groundskeeper comes the last Saturday of every month and although he's very sweet, our conversations are reduced to singular phrases such as tu necesitan el agua, tienes hambre, es muy caliente, gran trabajo and hasta la vista, Jose. I wish I could speak more with him about his family as they are all in Guatamala.

Latin. It shows one to be educated and it is a language that seems to be less and less common as time goes by.

I speak some Spanish but cannot carry on a good conversation...I would love to be able to speak Spanish and carry on an intelligent conversation...I live on the Texas Mexico border where the population is over 70% Mexican. Often the first conversations I have in the Morning is in Spanish.

Portuguese!!! Because it is soo sexy, I just loove the way it sounds, I'd like to really uderstand what I'm listening to when I listen to my collection of brazillian music. Also 'cause my hubby learned it from a childhood friend when he was 11, it would be cool to have that in common. Spanish is my first language, then English.

French. Since Canada is a bilingual country, knowing French could help increase my chance of getting a good job when I graduate from post-secondary. Plus, French is one of the most romantic languages. :)
