I love going for a walk at night while it is snowing. It is so beautiful and quiet except for the soft sound of the snow coming down.

It feels good to bundle up in a coat for a couple of months, but of course winter lasts longer than that. I can swill hot tea. I can fall asleep nuggled up to my wifeyboo without her moving away after a while complaining that she's too hot.

It's so beautiful. The light is amazing when it hits the snow and seems to light up the world, especially with most of the trees bare of leaves. It's so enjoyable to be stuck in the house with your love ones and sit by the fire and keep warm, house smelling of good baking and goodies to come. Icicles hang from the eaves and frost builds on the windows. And outside there is walking in the snow, making big steps and trailing after animal tracks in the snow. Ice skating and sledding are fun. Having a snowball fight:-)
