  • Simply put, cardiovascular training is mainly for fat-burning. Strength training, weightlifting, etc is to gain muscle mass. I don't think your calves and thighs are bulky because of cardio. Just get to a proper body fat percentage through proper diet and a good variable cardio routine. Beyond that, you may have to live with the fact that your calves and thighs are naturally bigger. Everyone's body type is different.
