I always keep up with who answers my questions and reward them as best I can. I went back once but that was because I was gone for three months. Everyone who has answered my questions are taken care of and this continues as I make sure before I move on. Only a few people did not get points or comments from me but that was because I never intended to give them any because of how they behave on this site. I will not tolerate disruptive behavior. :)

Yes, I frequently go back to my old questions and double check that I have rated and/or commented on answers received. Anything short of that is rude in my opinion. If somebody takes the time to answer your question, you should take the time to acknowledge it.

Yes and I do that unlike some people that DR my answers just because they don't like them.

Is this (or should it really be) about "points"?

No Answerbag user should ever feel like he or she has to do that. This is just a Q&A site. It's nice to get points, but really... is it really necessary? Maybe the person just doesn't like giving out points for some reason or other.
